Job Description:
Under the direction of the Customer Service Manager, the
Customer Service Representative serves as the primary contact for
external and internal customers, is responsible for making
judgments and discretionary decisions that affect the operations of
the organization and effectively communicates those judgments and
decisions to the customer. The Customer Service Representative is
also responsible for appropriately communicating customer
requirements to the manufacturing team, in accordance with company
policies and procedures. Receive all questions and concerns from
external and internal customers. Provide solutions to problems.
Receive, sort and prepare a checklist for all customer materials.
Determine date of availability for any missing materials. Generate
information for quoting/estimating and review and edit quotes to
ensure accuracy. Ensure customer supplied components are available
on time to meet production schedule. Attend scheduling meetings and
communicate with co-workers the status of jobs, any unique
circumstances relating to jobs, etc. Enter any and all information
needed to process order into computer system. Check samples to
ensure accurate final product. Request any necessary changes. Send
proofs to customer and receive them upon return as needed. Provide
samples to customers. Complete and maintain all required paperwork,
records, documents, etc. Follow and comply with all safety and work
rules and regulations. Attend press approvals. Responsible for
compliance with all regulatory, facility food safety, and quality
policies and procedures including product safety (GMPs) policies
and procedures.Job Qualifications: Must have the ability to operate
a wide variety of standard office equipment proficiently, such as a
computer and keyboard, calculator, telephone, fax, photocopiers,
scanner, etc. Must have associate or bachelor's degree or prior CSR
experience. Must be analytical. Must have the ability to deal with
problems involving several concrete variables in standardized
situations. Must be able to use abstract reasoning subject to
supervisor approval in situations departing from accepted
procedures and practices. Essential Functions: Must have reading
and writing skills necessary to properly understand orders,
assemble production reports for customers, and interpret artwork.
Must be able to comprehend and follow detailed instructions without
constant supervision. Must have the ability to evaluate, assess and
make decisions. Must possess typing skills and computer skills.
Must be able to work with personnel both in the department and
outside the department (customer, sales, production, etc.) under
pressure situations. Must be able to work under stress deadlines.
Must have excellent communication skills to convey production
deadlines, order specifications and pricing to customers.
