Job OverviewAerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Truck Driver 2 to
join our growing facility in Huntsville, AL.This position will
perform a variety of truck driving and material handling duties in
material control under limited supervision. Provides physical
movement of material from stores to production, loads and unload
trucks, and documents movements. Responsible for driving multiple
types of trucks and forklifts.Must be able to work any shift and
possible overtime.This position may be filled at this level or one
level higher. Note: Relocation assistance is not available for this

manufacturing facility near the Huntsville airport that will
specialize in the production and assembly of inert solid rocket

vehicles20% - Records information regarding materials received and
shipped in the department computer system. Participates in
inventory cycle counting process, enters and tracks data in
spreadsheets and the company MRP system.20% - Material picking,
delivery, and transactions in accordance with AR Guidelines10% -
Loading / unloading delivery vehicle10% - Maintaining accuracy
paperwork and record keeping.10% - Operate material moving
equipment (forklift, electric pallet jack, etc...)Knowledge of:
- 49 CFR, State/local laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Pre-trip, In-trip, and Post trip vehicle and cargo
inspections
- Following of site maps and identifying locations to deliver as
instructed
- Blocking/bracing, use of chocks , straps , ropes required to
secure load prior to transit
- Document reconciliation for accuracy to confirm load matches
transport documents
- Basic vehicle maintenance, identifying issues as they
arise
- Safely refueling all types of vehicles
- Incident/accident reporting to direct
supervisionRequirementsHigh School Diploma or equivalent required.
Class A CDL with HAZMAT endorsement and a minimum of 1 years'
experience operating Class A vehicles.Job requires CDL licenseMust
have up to date Hazmat Ability to:
- Drive, maneuver, and park Class A tractor/trailers as well as
other assigned vehicles
- Operate Classes I, III, V and VII forklifts
- Must be a minimum of 21 years old
- Lift 40 pounds repeatedly throughout day
- Pass a background check and drug screen
- Maintain a clean driving record - No DUI/DWI convictions
- Work nights, weekends, extended hours, and holidays as
needed
- Communicate effectively, both verbally and written forms
- Pass a vision exam and color blind testDriver's License
Requirement:All positions require possession of a valid driver's
license. Employees who drive on company business to carry out
job-related duties must possess a valid driver's license for the
class of vehicle driven and meet automobile insurability
requirements of the company. Eligibility for employment for those

on a case-by-case basis.Requires U.S. Citizenship or status as a
U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government
requirements for access to government information, and having dual
citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this
requirement.Work Environment and Physical Requirements:The work
environment may require a combination of indoor and outdoor
activity (hot, cold, wet, humid conditions) with a varied amount of
walking, standing, sitting, climbing (i.e. ladders, stair,
scaffolding, ramps), balance (maintaining body equilibrium to
prevent falling when walking, standing, or crouching on narrow,
slippery, or erratically moving surfaces), bending, reaching,
handling/fingering (seizing, holding, grasping, turning picking,
pinching), stooping, kneeling, crouching and ability to
lift/carry/push/pull up to 40 pounds. Ability to operate material
handling equipment (forklift, crane, hoist, man lift, etc.) and
drive company vehicles in a safe manner. While performing the
duties of this job, employees may work around variable noise
levels. May require the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
such as safety glasses, safety shoes, and shop coat. May also be
required to use standard office equipment, including a computers
and printers. Ability to distinguish colors may also be necessary.
Required to drive between various locations within the company
facility or between locations. These positions may be expected to
work varying shifts and hours to ensure successful operation of
activities in the organization.
