Job Description:
Summary
T2S Solutions LLC. is seeking an Electrical Engineer to provide
significant contributions to the design, development, and
production of multi-mission payloads for small satellites in
support of the Army Futures Command APNT/CFT and the Space
Development Agency (SDA). This position will be part of a T2S
Design & Development Team. The qualified T2S Electrical Engineer
applicant will be an independent, rational decision maker who is
also a creative and critical thinker and relentless problem solver
who enjoys a challenge and working with a high-performing team in a
dynamic environment. The Electrical Engineer will interface with
multiple engineering disciplines, system elements, and stakeholders
to help lead the development, design, integration, and testing of
our multi-mission payloads. T2S has been contracted to deliver
experimental small satellite payloads to support multiple missions
for the Army and other stakeholders. The Electrical Systems
Engineer will augment the T2S Payload Realization Team for all
aspects of Electrical design and analysis of the payload and
related ground segment hardware and software, to include
programmatic support, related reviews, and recommendations.
Eighty percent of this work will be done at one or more office
locations, with some opportunities to work from home or remote on
occasion. Occasional travel may be required.
Responsibilities and Duties
Develop and assist in the development digital models, simulations,
studies, research, and algorithms, hardware representations and
other computer-based analytical tools in support of Software
Reprogrammable Payload (SRP) effort to predict component,
interconnects and system performance and to optimize design around
established requirements and determine the best approach to meet
challenging performance, cost, and schedule constraints
Work with program management, customers, and cross-functional team
that includes subcontractors to analyze high-level requirements and
translate them into detailed designs, system architecture, hardware
and software designs and interface specifications.
Research and provide insights on SATCOM, RF Passive Emitter
Geolocation Techniques, Space-Based Telemetry, Standard SATNAV PNT
(GNSS), and/or ALT PNT (SRP missions) state-of-the-art
implementations and missions
Assist in the design, development and validation of requirements
for various complex communication, sensor, power, GN&C and
other electromagnetic systems and components.
Perform updates to prototypes and production designs based on
customer feedback and test performance
Support test program including development of system and test
requirements/procedures, test equipment, test execution, review of
test results, test discrepancy documentation and drive quick
resolution, and supports failure investigation processes
Supports Supplier Management team with make/buy recommendations,
material review processes, quality definitions and control of
electronic components, manufacturing and integration requirements
compliance monitoring, and other technical services.
Provides EE technical and troubleshooting support of fielded
hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
Plans research projects to develop concepts for future product
designs to meet projected requirements and make recommendations for
technology investments.
Qualification and Skills
Active DoD Security Clearance Required
U.S. Citizenship is required for this position.
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer
Science, Physics or related field
(Min) Bachelor's degree +15 years of related experience---
5+ years' of experience in electrical engineering for aerospace
and/or aviation systems engineering for either Government or
commercial systems
Experience in the selection of equipment, materials, and the
preparation and assembling of engineering design change packages,
calculations, and specifications
Technical experience in full life cycle development of hardware
including design, integration, and test
PSPICE, Saber, or other electronics simulation tool experience
Demonstrated experience in electrical schematic design and cable
diagrams using ECAD toolchains such as Mentor Graphics DxDesigner,
Altium, Zuken, OrCAD, or similar
Experience troubleshooting and debugging hardware
The ability to articulate simulation, test and research findings
via verbal and written communications
Preferred/Desired Skills and Experience:
Licensed PE
(Preferred) Master's degree +10 years of related experience
(Highly desired) PhD in electrical engineering with at least 5
years of related experience in electrical engineering, aerospace
engineering, physics, computer engineering, or a closely related
STEM field from an accredited university (OR)
5+ years' experience directly or indirectly supporting programs for
the DoD or Intelligence Community.
10 years'+ experience with any combination of the following:
spacecraft engineering, low earth orbit spacecraft constellations;
space-based visible, infrared, or RADAR imaging payloads;
inter-satellite laser communications systems, RADAR signal
processing, SIGINT signal processing, ground-based mission data
processing, spacecraft on-board processing, virtual spacecraft
mission operations, US Army and Joint DoD Command and Control
systems, and MIL-STD-1540/SMC-S-016 verification standards
5+ years' experience with RF sensor technologies, specifically in
electronics design including digital/analog/mixed signal
electronics, components, and interface/communication standards
Experience working Mission or Space segment hardware and software
design, integration, and test experience with one or more
subsystems requiring synchronization between two or more
engineering disciplines (outside of EE)
Evaluation of aerospace or avionics models and applications using
Hardware-in-the-loop testing
Experience/knowledge of NASA or MDA Engineering policies and
procedures
Knowledge of Space Force and SDA spacecraft, launch vehicles, and
programs
Familiarity with FPGA Design and debug
Proficiency in using high-level computational tools (Matlab,
Python, C#, etc.)
Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic
environment
Proficiency with Microsoft Tools to include MS Excel, Visio,
PowerPoint, Word, and Project
