Description
SAIC is currently seeking to hire a Cloud Architect to support the PACOM Multi-Domain Training Experimentation Capability (PMTEC) program to build a secure DoD/Government Cloud based environment to support modeling and simulation environment.
The primary customer is located in Hawaii, but the Cloud Architect will be based in Huntsville AL, on Redstone Arsenal, AL.
Note, this is a full time position, with 2-3 weeks every two months in Hawaii, on per diem. Daily work hours in Huntsville do not start until 08:30 or 9:00 AM to support collaboration with personnel in Hawaii. This position can use an alternate work schedule with every other Friday off.
Job Responsibilities :

• 
  
• 
  Design and support deployment of cloud services to a TS network enclave.
  
  
• 
  Develop security architecture and support the security accreditation process.
  
  
• 
  Design and support deployment of the TS enclave and cloud services to required locations.
  
  
• 
  Design and configure secure cloud environments including AWS and Azure.
  
  
• 
  Provide subject matter expertise on Azure and AWS cloud toolsets and best practices.
  
  
  Qualifications
  Required Education :
  Bachelors and fourteen (14) years of experience; Masters and twelve (12) years or more experience; PhD or JD and nine (9) years or more experience; four (4) year of experience and certifications considered in lieu of degree requirements
  Required Clearance :

  • Must be US Citizen; and able to obtain an interim secret, then Top Secret security clearance
    
    Required Skills :
    
    • 
      
    • 
      Experience designing and deploying cloud services and network enclaves.
      
      
    • 
      Experience with applying DoD cybersecurity measures (STIGS).
      
      
    • 
      Experience architecting, designing, and implementing an on-premise private cloud
      
      
    • 
      Knowledge and experience with virtual servers
      
      
    • 
      Knowledge of current cloud computing environments, architectures, and migration efforts
      
      
    • 
      Specific detailed knowledge with AWS cloud and Microsoft Azure cloud
      
      
    • 
      Excellent written and oral communications skills;
      
      
    • 
      Experience working in a DoD environment strongly desired.
      
      
      Required Certifications :
      
      • 
        
      • COMPTia Security+ or equivalent certification (Must obtain certification within 3 months)
