Job Description:
MDW is currently seeking a Project Scheduling Analyst to support
our NASA customer at the Marshall Space Flight Center in
Huntsville, AL.The Project Scheduling Analyst will perform the
following job functions:
Developing, maintaining, and
coordinating technical schedules for large to medium scale projects
from proposal level to detailed level schedulesConducting schedule
analysis and assessments to ensure schedules are structured
properly with complete network logic, are capable of reporting
critical path(s), and follow industry scheduling best
practicesTracking schedule progress and developing custom
reports/metricsProviding guidance and recommendations on schedule
workarounds and recovery plans for customers to make effective
decisionsAttending key project meetings, reviews, and presenting
schedule status/metrics Performing Schedule Risk Assessments (SRA)
and providing guidance and recommendations to NASA
ManagementProviding expert guidance and implementation and
management of integrated scheduling tools.Conducting cost and
schedule integration, ensuring budget and resource requirements for
programs/projects are realistic and achievable; Assess the impacts
resulting from changes to project cost, schedule, or technical
baselinesInteracting with NASA contractor/technical leads and
project management personnelRequired Experience:
Scheduling experience including
schedule development and analysis is requiredA working knowledge of
Microsoft Project (including MS Project Server), Milestones
Professional, and Primavera scheduling software are
requiredHands-on experience developing detailed schedules,
Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) and performing critical path
analysis
Candidate must be self-motivated and
have strong interpersonal skillsRequires excellent written and
verbal communication skills and the ability to interface with all
levels of an organizationDesired Experience:
Prior government scheduling
experience is highly desiredUnderstanding of Earned Value
Management (EVM) as it relates to cost, schedule, and technical
performance measures a plusExperience with Milestones Professional
desirablePrior experience developing resource loaded schedules
preferredEducation Requirement/Required Years of Experience:
Bachelor's Degree + five (5) years
scheduling experience, including schedule development and analysis,
is required; Additional Requirement(s):
Candidates for this position must be
a U.S. Citizen and successfully complete a U.S. government
