Description Job Description:--A successful candidate will serve as a Network Security Analyst in the Corporate Services Engineering group on the NASA Integrated Communications Services (NICS) contract Coordinating vulnerability remediation activities for multiple Agencywide service lines Developing Plans of Actions and Milestones (POAM) and Risk Based Decision (RBD) packages Documenting security control responses for multiple System Security Plans (SSP) Collaborate with Engineering to develop remediation responses / actions to be applied within Agency compliance timelines Becoming knowledgeable of NASA---s tapping infrastructure and serving at technical interface to NASA---s Security Operations Center (SOC) Required Skills:---------- General understanding of networking to include routers, switches, firewalls and taps Understanding of Risk Management Framework Solid skills with Office applications, especially Excel Excellent organizational and documentation skills Understanding of general I.T. Security principles Familiarity with NIST 800.53 Able to prioritize tasks and coordinate with peers in order to meet short suspense deadlines Currently hold or able to obtain Secret clearance-------------------------------------------- Desired Skills:-------- ------ Prior experience implementing network infrastructure Experience supporting a Federal Agency, especially NASA Qualifications Education and Experience: Bachelors and six (6) years or more of related experience; Masters and four (4) years or more experience; PhD and 0 years related experience. Desired Qualifications-- Prior experience implementing network infrastructure Vendor certifications such as CCNA/CCNP Experience supporting a Federal Agency, especially NASA
