Job Description: Counter-Countermeasure Electronic Attack Concepts Development Analyst (814) Individual will perform end-to-end concepts development and analysis of the Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) supporting the systems engineering development process for the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Individual will perform BMDS functional and performance analyses utilizing large-scale complex BMDS Modeling and Simulation tools and utilize the results to support system engineering counter-countermeasures and discrimination products for MDA. Individual will also perform concept updates, and benchmarking/anchoring of BMDS M&S tools, as necessary to support system level analysis and conceptual trade tasking. Individual will coordinate analysis activities and products with functional group leads, senior management, and government personnel responsible for executing concept development tasks. The individual will document analysis results in reports and briefings to be presented to the Missile Defense Agency Engineering Team - Industry (MET-I) and Missile Defense Agency (MDA) representatives. Individual will perform as a principal investigator. Individual will lead analysis teams and will serve as a mentor to less experienced team members. Required Skills: Individual must have a technical background in System Engineering Concept Development and Analysis in the Electronic Attack (jamming) domain to include system performance analysis and numerical modeling and simulation with any of the following: system concept trade studies, operational analysis, requirements analysis, feasibility analysis, and system performance measures of effectiveness analysis (incl. technical performance measures). Individual must possess good communication skills. Capable of working both independently and in a team environment. Individual must have some demonstrated team leadership experience. Secret clearance, reinvestigation date less than 5.5 years old Desired Skills: Concept development and analysis experience in aspects of the Ballistic missile defense system (e.g., Aegis Weapons Systems, Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD), Fire Control (FOM, GFC), C2BMC, BMDS sensors (EO/IR/RF), kill vehicles, interceptors, countermeasures, counter-countermeasures, or threats. Element-level experience with Analysis, Assessment, or Verification and familiarity with BMDS Performance Tier 1 Metrics (PES, DA, LAD, RSC, etc.). Systems engineering experience with large, complex systems. Required Education (including Major): Degree and experience in an engineering classification, mathematics or physics: Bachelor-s, Master-s or PhD.
