Lhoist North America , a major supplier of lime, limestone, and minerals products to the North American marketplace, is seeking a Safety Supervisor to join their team in Calera, AL area.

If you have at least 5 years of Safety Leadership experience in a Heavy Manufacturing Mining/Steel/Cement or similar environment , Lhoist wants to hear from you. Experience in a MSHA environment and implementing safety programs is required.

  • Maintain records in accordance with company/location policy.
  • Lead on all accident and incident investigations for facilities in area of responsibility.
  • Perform routine inspections of site and equipment.
  • Coordinate safety recognition programs for consistency.
  • Develop a system to periodically review and audit health and safety programs.
  • Coordinate safety committee functions.
  • Develop and assist in delivering routine safety meetings.
  • Perform / Assist in the development of Task Training checklist and work with managers to develop safe and compliant work procedures.
  • Oversee site Safety Management System.
  • Ensure compliance and maintenance of company/site safety procedures.
  • Implement and audit company safety standards.
  • Other Duties as assigned.
