Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career
opportunity for a Principal Software Engineer - SW CI/CD Engineer
to join our team of diverse and highly qualified individuals. This
position will be located in Huntsville, AL. Position Overview: The
Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC)
program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital
operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of
defense, and combatant commanders at strategic, regional, and
operational levels to systematically plan ballistic missile defense
operations, to see the battle develop collectively, and to
dynamically manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems
to achieve global and regional mission objectives. C2BMC supports a
layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized
response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight. C2BMC is
the force multiplier that globally and regionally networks
integrate, synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems and
operations to optimize performance. C2BMC is integral to all system
ground and flight tests, which verify and exercise all current and
future missile defense system capabilities. -As a member of the
Regional Applications Agile Release Train (RA ART) of the Missile
Defense National Team for Command and Control, Battle Management,
and Communications (C2BMC) (aka C2BMC NT), this position will be
responsible for working across the ART to implement and maintain a
standardized CI/CD pipeline for use by all of the Product Teams
within the RA ART, across two development sites. You will be
required to work closely with the Cyber and Platforms ART to ensure
that the tools and applications within the pipeline are maintained
and conform to security and other requirements. The selected
candidate will need to present regular updates on the status of the
pipeline and work to resolve any issues. Essential Functions:
- Work within classified environments to implement CI/CD
pipelines to support multiple SW releases and build versions
- Will work independently, and will possess the poise and
flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment
- Will work with multiple disciplinary teams, especially Systems
Admins, IT, and Security.Basic Qualifications: Please note your
updated security clearance and IAT/relevant certifications on your
resume, if applicable.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Computer Science, Technology,
Engineering, Software Engineering, Science, or Mathematics
discipline preferred from an accredited university and -5 years of
related experience or a Master's degree in a related discipline and
3 years of experience, or 9 years of related experience instead of
a degree may be considered
- Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD-issued
Secret security clearance at the time of application, which is
required to start
- DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher (Security+ CE,
CCNA-Security, CND, CySA+, CISSP, CISA, etc.) is required to
start
- Ability and willingness to travel up to 10% to support business
needs
- Must have experience with Linux system administration and
System Security Implementations
- Experience with:
- Git
- Nexus
- Jenkins
- Jira
- Confluence
- Experience with CI/CD, especially in a classified development
environment
- Experience working with DEVSECOPS
- Experience with:
- Linux shell scripting
- Ansible playbook development and management
- Security-Enhanced (SE) Linux
- Red Hat repository administration
- Experience working in an Agile development environment
- Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG), Multi-Factor
Authentication implementation like:
- IPA and ADFS
- OpenShift
- OpenStack
- VMware ESXI
- QAS/VAS, Windows
- Active Directory
- Backup and Recovery
- Containers and Container Orchestration products
- Understand the concept of PaaS and SaaS
- Knowledge of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery and

#C2BMCSalary Range: $105,400 - $158,000The above salary range
represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers
a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the
scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's
experience, education, skills and current market
conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for
overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition
to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual
contributions as well as allow employees to share in company
results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be
eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman
provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage,
life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays
