Provide full-stack development consulting to a Department of the
Army client as part of a Digital Transformation team responsible
for harnessing, cleaning, and analyzing large amounts of related
data and providing an intuitive and user-friendly set of data
visualization dashboards and applications based on this data, to
foster a data-driven decision-making approach. The team follows an
Agile/Scrum methodology, iterating rapidly in 2-week sprints and
constantly engaging with the client for feedback, quickly
transforming that feedback into formal requirements. We seek
candidates with extensive knowledge of and hands on experience with
modern Business Intelligence software with proven ability to work
independently in converting business and functional requirements
into complex reports, data visualizations and dashboards. The
individual will be the lead program integrator on the team,
consulting with the client in the development of intuitive and
user-friendly data visualization dashboards and applications.
Initially, team tasks will include importing data into a
visualization engine from various external sources and the
development of other web-based query applications. Ultimately, the
client seeks a consulting team that is software agnostic and
possesses a strategic outlook that produces relevant, timely, and
actionable technical advice (e.g., advice regarding Digital
Transformation of Portfolio Management, Product Support Management,
Financial Management, and Contract Management workflows) What You
Will Need:
- Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET federal security
clearance
- Bachelor's degree
- FIVE (5) years' relevant experience What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Bachelor's degree in a science, technology, math, engineering
field preferred; humanities degree with equivalent technical
experience acceptable
- Demonstrated experience serving in a leadership role providing
cost, schedule, and performance oversight to a development or
engineering team in a program consisting of multiple workstreams
and/or deliverables
- Demonstrated experience with MS Project, MS Planner, or
equivalent Integrated Master Scheduling Software
- Demonstrated experience assisting with system design,
development, and verification testing
- Proven ability to create and review system documentation and
build procedures, including an installation package
- Demonstrated expertise in Independent Verification and
Validation (IV&V) of Installation Package, tools, software, and
documentation
- Proven ability to support identification of gaps in
documentation, software, or other elements of an Installation
Package, and an understanding of how to evaluate installation
resources provided and work with a development team to resolve
defects of an Installation Package
- Demonstrated experience creating a repeatable installation
process for system engineers and identifying defects of system
implementation documentation and build procedures
- Demonstrated experience integrating solutions into new or
modified systems or operating environments
- Proven ability in validation and analysis of functional and
non-functional requirements and demonstrated experience assisting
with updates to documentation based on new test cases or
implementation steps identified
- Demonstrated experience verifying and validating that security
controls for the system meet stated confidentiality, integrity, and
availability requirements
- Ability to perform independent research to analyze and resolve
highly complex IT issues, or serve as a recognized subject matter
expert in a program-related technology or domain area
- Demonstrated experience developing and delivering technical
presentations or demonstrations to customers or stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience developing estimate of resources and
schedule required to implement IT systems/components and providing
technical guidance or mentorship to other team members
- Proven ability to perform an analysis of alternatives and
recommending the application of appropriate technologies that meet
system performance or functional requirements
- Demonstrated experience designing and developing solutions to
complex problems and large projects by analyzing stakeholder
requirements and conferring with users or system engineers and
software developers
- Demonstrated experience researching, documenting, and
presenting business cases for migrating to and incorporating new
technologies
- Proven ability to analyze and resolve system performance issues
