Pipefitter - Huntsville

Clean, bevel, prepare and install pipe with various fittings and weld joints on piping systems. Cut, thread, and install screwed piping systems, and prepare and fit welded piping in place. Lay out, fabricate, assemble, install, and test piping systems for industrial processing systems and identify any obstructions or impediments. Select type and size of pipe and related materials according to job specifications and drawings. Test pipe installation, bend pipe, and install valves, traps or strainers. Perform layout, rigging and transportation of pipe, valves and fittings. Perform craft related mathOperate equipment and tools such pipe cutters, port-a-band saw, cutting torch, hammer and chisel, threading machine, and pipe cutting machine as well as forklifts and aerial lifts.Assist with the overall site safety and quality programs as required and ensuring Trade employees/subcontractors compliance with Turner standards and all applicable safety codes, regulations, and jobsite securityMaintain positive working relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers and other employeesAbility to travel and accommodate night and weekend work as needed Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Display a high level of teamwork, integrity, commitment, and leadership in daily operations.Other activities, duties, and responsibilities as assigned.Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
