This position will be filled in Huntsville, AL and supports the Advanced Programs (AP) Team.What You'll Get To Do:The successful candidate for this role will lead and provide subject matter expertise for mechanical system dynamics analysis tasks for launch, vehicle, and payload systems for the NG Strategic Deterrent Systems Advanced Programs Team. The Advanced Programs Team creates and matures new technological concepts for our Department of Defense Customers. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.Job Qualifications:You'll Bring These Qualifications: Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) discipline and 14 years of experience; 12 years with Master's Degree; 9 years with PhD Experience performing dynamic structural analysis of flight vehicle, payload, re-entry systems or launch systems Experience using general-purpose physics simulation software such as ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, or similar for dynamic analysis Experience conducting first principal hand calculations to validate simulation results Experience utilizing industry standard loads and Finite Element Analysis Software (Primary FEA tools are NX NASTRAN, ABAQUS, PATRAN, FEMAP, Matlab, etc.) A current DoD Secret clearance granted or re-investigated within last 6 yearsThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have: Experience performing dynamics analysis for Reentry Vehicles or Hypersonic Vehicles Experience creating and running non-linear finite element models using ABAQUS or FEMAP/NASTRAN Experience writing scripts to automate workflow using MATLAB or Python Basic experience with PTC CREO, NX, or similar CAD systems for model interrogation Experience with Advanced Composite structure analysis Experience leading short-term projects to completion or a small team of engineers Strong communication and presentation skills as well as demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment. Active DoD Top Secret Clearance investigated within last 6 yearsSalary Range: $157,500 USD $236,300 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
