This includes factory and site acceptance testing that will assure adherence to functional specificationsEnsures that condition and documentation preservation is performedParticipates in system functional performance testingIdentifies system manual requirements and ensures all documents are createdUnderstands and utilizes Reliability Centered Maintenance methods (development of Work Instructions, support Reliability Engineer and Techs, continuous improvement of equipment performance)Understands and utilizes Hydraulic Power Units and systems (able to read/ follow schematics, implement corrective actions, a solid understanding of the theories and good practices)Documents all baseline reading, settings, positions and store for future referenceExecutes small to mid-size projects from inception to handoverDevelops a clear understanding of equipment's intended function, communicates this understanding to engineering and maintenance teamCarries out contractor coordination and contract management (writing Scope of Work, General Work Permits, Establishing Lock Out Tagout procedures, Reviewing Job Hazard Analysis, scheduling the work, etc.)Assists in the supervision of supplier interventions during installation, challenge solutions, and refines needs as necessaryLeadership competencies, technical skills requirementBachelor's degree in Mechanical EngineeringMinimum of 5 years of experience in engineeringSome knowledge of materials (steel, concrete, asphalt, etc.) as it pertains to facilities and equipment maintenanceSolid understanding and experience with AutoCAD 2013 or later versionTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be proficient with Microsoft Office software e.g. Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPointStrong problem solving, judgment, and critical thinking skillsAptitude for detailed work requiring a high degree of accuracyGood communication, high level of autonomy, collaboration and interpersonal skills are support for the Engineering Department for Structural and Mechanical aspects of day to day engineeringDevelops mechanical equipment systems and planned maintenance activitiesAssists in training of other team members on mechanical standards and processes.Technical Support of Production Operations:Defines, designs, develops, monitors, and refines an asset maintenance planParticipates in process optimizationProvides input to a risk management plan to anticipate risks that adversely impact operationsAnalyzes and diagnoses equipment breakdowns, develops long term solutions or mitigation plansProvides technical support to production, maintenance management, and technical personnelUtilizes predictive and condition monitoring techniques to monitor equipment healthEstimates maintenance costs and evaluation of alternativesCompletes forecasting of spare parts for electrical/controls equipmentSupports procurement activities to source suppliers for various services and spare partsWrites technical specifications for repairs (quality control) and procurementEstablishes replacement/rebuild programs (including vendor assessments)Applies scheduling and project management principlesAssesses required tools and skills required for efficient maintenance of equipmentAssesses risks within a project and reports safety hazardsLeadership Competencies, Technical Skills RequirementTechnical Skills and Experience:Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical EngineeringExperience dealing with: mechanical equipment diagnostics, maintenance strategies, project management, and spare parts managementAbility to read Layout and Detailed Assembly Drawings, mark up and make corrections as neededAbility to utilize AutoCad, Inventor, or equivalent 3D design softwareData analysis experience a plusIndustrial Maintenance experience is preferred (hydraulics/pneumatics, cylinders, gearboxes, couplings, material handling, furnaces, piping systems, etc.)Must be proficient MS Excel, MS Word and familiar with MS ProjectStrong understanding of Mechanical Design of equipmentExceptional team working skillsTroubleshooting and precision maintenance experienceKnowledge of Predictive Maintenance disciplines: Vibration Analysis, Thermal Imaging, Oil Analysis, UltrasonicsStrong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to lead effective meetingsKnowledge of Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA)Knowledge of Root cause analysis (RCA)Behavior skillsAutonomous and self-starterHighly organized, systematic, and preciseAbility to work in group in a
