Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer System
Architect. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will
support the GBSD program. This role may offer a competitive
relocation assistance package.What you'll get to do:The successful
candidate will:
- Design and develop system architectures, and define key
capabilities and performance requirements.
- Define design and technology maturity constraints of the system
in accordance with customer specifications.
- Develop thorough definition of system external interfaces.
- Ensures requirements are met and evaluates performance with
customer.
- Responsible for cross-coordination of architecture modeling and
MBSE products with digital engineering design
- Support MBSE strategy and implementation over the various
Architecture Model
- Coordinate with integrated product teams for establishing
content within the architecture
- Execute model integration processes, tools, and technique.
- Develop descriptive system models to include
physical/functional block diagrams at various abstraction layers to
support Model-Based Engineering (MBE) and Model-Based Systems
Engineering (MBSE) efforts. SysML, UML or other descriptive
constructs/tools may be used.
- Create new and adapt existing models, methods, and analysis
capabilities to conduct studies to support the design, development,
and assessment of advanced system design concepts and
technologies.
- Ensure performance capabilities of new systems and
architectures are consistent with mission requirements; develop
mission relevant scenarios; assess operational effectiveness of
existing and emerging systems and capabilities in representative
operational environments.
- Work within multi-disciplined teams to architect, model,
simulate, and analyze systems to predict/verify system performance
against functional/capability requirementsAs a full-time employee

standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows
employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take
every other Friday off. You'll Bring These Qualifications:
- BS - Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) with a
minimum 9 years of relevant experience; or 7 Years with Masters; or
5 Years with PhD
- Current active Secret Clearance or above with a
re-investigation date in the last 5.5 years.
- 3+ years' systems engineering experience
- 2+ years' experience with tools such as Cameo, Rhapsody, Sparx
EA, DOORS, Teamcenter
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal
and writtenThese Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
- 1+ years' experience as team lead and team development
- Experience with large systems
- Data analysis experience
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite
- Experience with Client/Server architecture.
- Agile experience
- Proficiency with Tools such as: Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket,
etc.
- Model Based System Engineering with an understanding of DODAF
and SysML
- Proficiency in DOORS and Cameo
- Experience using tools to model large systems with multiple
developers.
- Experience in the military aerospace development environment is
preferred.
- Experience with weapon systems
- Experience with software development #GBSDsystems Salary Range:
$114,100 USD - $171,000 USD Employees may be eligible for a
discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are
designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow
employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President
or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In
