Job Description:

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES- Responsible for updating Garrison Logistics New Carrier Packets- Approves or denies new carrier set up based off of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSR) pertaining to the qualification of carriers and Garrison Logistics Performance Standards.- Review the qualifications of each incoming carrier and ensure compliance with company policies and Federal regulations.- Responsible for collecting all pages of the Garrison Logistics New Carrier Packet.- Scans all paperwork into system.- Works with multiple different insurance companies to obtain carrier insurance.- Contacts the insurance company to get updated policy numbers.- Verifies equipment is insured.- If necessary, verifies reefer breakdown is included on the policy.- Assist operations with capacity and performance as required.- Answer the brokerage 800 line.- Track and trace of brokerage loads.- Other duties as may be assigned.QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS- College degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business related field preferred.- Previous customer service and/or Logistics experience preferred. - Knowledge of the Trucking Industry a plus.PREFERRED SKILLS- Ability to interact and communicate effectively over-the-phone, through e-mail and face to face- Capacity to recognize when action is necessary and to implement the required actions within a reasonable time.- Aptitude to prioritize workflow in order to use time effectively- Ability to perform mathematical calculations in order to calculate transit times. - Competency to use discretion and good judgment. - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.PI177857785
