Our employees are not only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for an Associate Systems Engineer with the GMD program to join our team of qualified diverse individuals located in Huntsville ALPosition Overview:The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grumman's Ground Based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Analysis team. GMD is currently the only deployed strategic system that can defend the United States from long-range attack by threat ICBMs.Roles and Responsibilities:
    • Collaborate with the customer to define capability and performance assessment objectives.
    • Identify and track inter-dependencies of the system to ensure successful deployment.
    • Participate in major program activities (i.e. design reviews, change process, test integration, issue resolution, and fielding integration)
    • Compile system-level fielding assessments from teams such as Safety, Quality Assurance, Operations and Sustainment, and End Users.
    • Review, analyze and compile capabilities and performance assessment results for final distribution.
    • Track system-level risks and limitations, ensuring proper analysis and closure through testing and fielding events.
    • Prepare and present fielding decision material to industry and government stakeholders for final concurrence on the fielding decision.Basic Qualifications:
      • 0 years' experience with a Bachelor in Science
      • Experience presenting technical information
      • Position requires an active Secret Clearance and U.S. citizenship
      • Local Candidates ONLY. No relocation available.Preferred Qualifications:
        • Experience presenting data and findings to a customer
          • Experience working in a missile defense programSalary Range: 60800 - 91200Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
