The Analytical Solutions Division (ASD) of Applied Research Associates (ARA), Inc., is seeking a talentedSenior Paint Technician working from our Huntsville, AL facility. The potential candidate will perform paint application processes and light fabrication machining. This position will require assisting the SMG in all aspects of coating operations from preparation and masking, pretreatments, final paint applications and QA/QC analysis on prototype systems. Under close direction, the successful applicant will perform multiple manufacturing tasks associated with the coating of unique prototype systems for the DoD and other ARA clients. These tasks include, but are not limited to, paint application, light mechanical work, testing and evaluation, and QA/QC evaluations. In addition, this position will also assist senior level staff and project managers in developing user manuals for the prototype systems. This position will require the successful applicant to possess or obtain a minimum of a DSS SECRET clearance. Essential Functions: Will perform paint application tasks including paint mixing, spray operations, thickness measurements, etc. In addition, this position will be required to have or gain a full understanding of multiple coatings application equipment. Assist in fabrication and other assembly/disassembly processes essential to coatings application and fabrication of prototypes SECRET clearance will be required Education: High school diploma Associate degree or trade-school preferred Required: Organized individual, with prioritization and time management skills Paint application background Mechanical skills with hands on experience Excellent verbal communication skills Capable of working with teams in an ever-changing work environment 5-7 years of related work experience.
