Job Description:


Responsible for coordinating the receipt, distribution and storage of all items ordered and received by the Material Management department. Responsible for logistics and general stores inventory control.


Receives inventory and non-inventory materials addressed to the facility. Assures product viability and accuracy of shipments. Resolves receipt discrepancies and reports to the Material Manager in a timely manner.Unpacks, inspects and receives daily shipments. Verifies all items on packing slips and purchase orders; makes notations where necessary. Attached P/S to PO, generate receiving documents and ensures signatures are received upon delivery. Does not have product staged in department for more than 2 business days.Enters receipt data into MMIS computer system. Entries are made accurately and timely.Accurately separates stock and non-stock deliveries for proper handling. Ensures "RUSH", perishable or frozen deliveries are processed quickly.Assures all received packages, without a PO, are documented in the Daily Receipt Log book.Notifies the Buyer or Manager/Director, in a timely manner, of backorder status, problems or discrepancies related to receiving or receipt of routine or capital equipment.Provides shelf space for new and existing inventory products. Recommends relocation when necessary to ensure adequate inventory levels.Assists in resolving issues regarding shipments with the vendors. Call vendors to assure product shipment and/or accuracy. Coordinates and assists Distribution Clerk with par replenishment and delivery schedule.Stocks received inventory items in their proper location within the storeroom. Received inventory products are stored accurately, timely and neatly. Utilizes FIFO/Stock rotation principles.Prepares packages for shipment to appropriate companies/individuals. Assures packages are labeled properly manifested and shipped out in a timely manner.Enters after hours issues into the MMIS. After hours issues are entered the following working day of issue. Issues are completed prior to inventory replenishmentAssists in receiving phone orders for inventory supplies. Receives calls and delivers products to appropriate areas in a timely manner. Follows up on email and voicemail in a timely manner.Assists in performing periodic cycle counts on inventory items. Counts are performed timely.Assists Distribution in filling requisition orders for all departments. Enters Par and Requisition issue data into the MMIS as needed. Data is entered timely and accurately.Ensures the Storeroom is maintained daily for neatness and cleanliness. Trash is removed on a daily basis and excess empty boxes are removed at the end of each shift.Monitors inventory sterility dates and checks expiration routinely. Reports to the Materials Director/Manager any affected stock. Promptly coordinates return and / or replacement of affected stock. Maintains records.Process all outbound freight through approved carriers. Coordinates pick up and maintains records of transactions in a timely manner. Maintains accurate log recordsCoordinate return of product to the vendors to receive credit. Contact vendor, receive RMA#, and set date of pick up. Follow up with vendor within 3 business days to ensure pick up has been completed. Product is not staged in the department > 3 days.Equipment deliveries are given to Biomed for inspection before delivery to the department.Perform other duties as assigned by the Material Manager/DirectorReviews out of stock /critical items report routinely and reports to the Buyer. Recommends inventory replenishment quantity to ensure stock availabilityAssists in annual physical inventory.



  1. High School Graduate2. AA Degree Preferred3. Minimum of 5 years healthcare warehouse/inventory experience. 4. Must be computer literate and have working experience using software used in Materials Management. 5. Strong communication skills.
