This position is primarily a 1st shift position but will have responsibility over multiple shifts and may need to work different schedules or over normal business hours. This individual will step into a fast-paced business environment with key responsibility in a collaborative relationship with site Manufacturing Managers and HR team focusing on the Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost of the Materials department with a strong emphasis on process compliance driving Inventory Accuracy within the plant. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Work day to-to day to manage the replenishment routes by leading a team. Partners with the Production and Engineering team to ensure that the replenishment routes are optimal. Provides day-to-day leadership and supervision in the achievement of Safety, Quality, Productivity, Schedule attainment, Employee programs and Cost to the hourly levels within Materials. Coach and support group for Materials operation including a third party Receiving and Warehouse. Provide daily communication and coordination within a multiple shift operation. Monitor and ensure a Safe work environment. Proactively assess the Safety Condition and Correct Safety issues. Ensure compliance to Safety, Quality, Environmental and Productivity standards by tracking useful KPIs daily and using the data to drive corrective action. Assign work tasks according to priority and Employee skills to meet or exceed the production schedule. Plans and organizes activities to meet production deadlines. Encourage proper work performance by departmental employees through positive reinforcement. Enforce policies and procedures and apply disciplinary action as needed. Identify and implement continuous improvement projects and Encourage others to participate. Assist in preparation of department budgets and adhere to it. Prepare and maintain inventory accuracy reports and records, taking corrective action when necessary. Drive process consistency and standardization across all areas of Materials with a strong understanding of Material Flow and PFEP in your assigned area. Skills & Knowledge: 5+ years of Materials Supervisor experience preferred. Knowledge of Materials ERP systems. A proven leader with a solid track record of successful managing a multiple department facility. Strong business acumen: able to translate the needs of the core business to meet deadlines and objectives. Versatility, flexibility, and ability to work within changing priorities with enthusiasm. Excellent leadership, influence, and communication skills. Strong analytic skills to quickly ascertain data and implement corrective action. Ability and knowledge to efficiently work within MRP Systems, Excel, PowerPoint, etc. Identifies, deploys and develops highly talented employees with future potential.
