Aerojet Rocketdyne is seeking a Senior Avionics Integration and
Test Engineer to join our facility in Huntsville, AL.
This position is a key part of Aerojet Rocketdyne's Avionics
Engineering and will be responsible for managing day-to-day
engineering activities for our Defense Business Unit programs. In
this role, you will work directly with engineers and technical
experts across various centers of excellence and in close
collaboration with Program Managers and Chief Engineers.

one level higher.
Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
50% - Provide on-site Integration and Test support
30% - Coordinate with on-site Operations personnel and remote
15% - Remote support of troubleshooting on flight hardware and
5% - Travel for support of hot-fire testing, etc.
BS degree in electrical, electronic, or computer engineering
with strong hardware experience At least 10 years of experience
supporting aerospace and defense development programs.
Experience in use of computer aided design and analysis tools and
Microsoft Office Suite, proficient in Microsoft Project.
Key responsibilities Provide integration and test support of
missile system avionics - laboratory and hot-fire testing
Coordinate with enterprise-wide engineering and operations
personnel Create hardware/software integration test plans and
procedures Coordinate and / or perform lab and on-site test system
integration activities Trouble-shoot test system hardware and
software elements Troubleshoot electrical continuity problems, etc.
on flight hardware and test equipment Oversight of supplier
Prerequisites Good oral and written communication skills - able
to coordinate and collaborate with local Operations and
distant-located Engineering organizations Strong trouble-shooting
and problem solving skills Strong data analysis skills General
purpose test equipment proficiency (DMM, oscilloscope, power
supplies, etc.) Familiarity with aerospace/defense engineering
design and production disciplines Able to read and understand
engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and wiring diagrams
Experience with the following hardware and software technologies -
DSP-based embedded control systems - Mixed analog/digital circuits
design and analysis - Electromechanical actuators with PWM motor
control - National Instruments cDAQ and cRIO systems - Serial data
links (e.g.; RS-422, Serial Peripheral Interface, etc.) - Python
Programming Language, c' , and MATLAB - FPGA design - Electrical
initiation systems for solid propellant propulsion systems -
Pressure Transducers - Solenoid Driver Circuits Ability to
interface with Supplier Management Ability to obtain Secret
May be required to obtain and maintain a U.S. Security Clearance
