Description: Job Title: Senior Principal, Business DevelopmentPosition #: AS20203011-53724Location: Huntsville, ALJob Description:The Sr Principal, BD (Business Development) will lead all business development activities for the PESS (Precision Engagement System Sector) in Huntsville, AL.This includes directing and leading customer interactions, strategy development, business development, market assessments, business case development, business capture, capture gating process, pipeline growth, business account management including S&M and B&P budgets, CRM management, and development of 1-yr, 3-yr and 5-yr business plans. Essential Functions:

• Manage S&M (Sales--& Marketing) and B&P (Bid & Proposal) budgets, expenditure,--and prioritization.
• Develop annual--business plans for 1-yr, 3-yr and 5-yr outlooks.
• Develop, refine and update business cases.
• Manage capture gating process including chairing gate conferences for executive leadership.
• Develop product and services capture plans, lead capture activities.
• Develop capture win strategies.
• Develop, maintain and leverage existing relationships with key customers, decision makers, and acquisition officials.
• Develop and maintain--competitive intelligence and competitive landscape understanding to inform business development and capture efforts.
• Prepare and deliver--written and oral briefs to customers and senior executives.
• Participate in IRAD--process ensuring alignment of investment with business goals.
• Manage CRM (Customer--Relationship Management) database.
• Develop strategic--plans to advance business area objectives and promote revenue and profitability.
• Lead, develop, and implement strategies for generating new customers in both domestic and international markets.
• Provide warfighter--perspective and operational briefings from OA (Operational Analysis) and M&S (Modeling & Simulation) SME material.
• Lead CONOPS--development and briefings in support of programs.
• Evaluate new--technologies while staying current on industry trends through a warfighter perspective.
• Provide warfighter--perspective and input to PESS engineering and technical experts to fulfill--customer expectations, increase program success, capture new programs, and expand business pipeline.
• Organize and manage--small groups in a geographically separated area.Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • 15 years of--professional related work experience
  • 10 years' experience in Army tactical aviation
  • 3 years' experience in--Army or SOCOM aviation acquisition
  • Experience in Army aviation CONOPS development
  • Tactical aircraft weapons--SME
  • Tactical aircraft--mission employment SME
  • U.S.--Citizenship
  • Existing/current SECRET--DoD clearance
  • Ability to obtain Top--Secret and SCI accessDesired:
    • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills
    • Ability to generate and deliver articulate and persuasive briefings
    • Aptitude to clearly communicate to both technical and non-technical audiences
    • Comfortable and skilled interacting with senior USG officials and L3T executives
    • Proven leadership and mentoring skills
