We invite you to join the small business team where you can build, innovate, and secure your career.-- Role Description: Sentar is seeking a Business Development Principal to join our growing team! As the Business Development Principal, the ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Implementing Sentar's Opportunity Lifecycle Capture process to achieve key business goals; develop, maintain and advance client relationships through sales strategies, client contacts, and ownership of the end to end capture process.
  • Partner with Business Units Managers to identify, qualify and capture contract opportunities, primarily in the Federal Government market.
  • Conduct pipeline development supporting pursuits in the Federal Government market, including Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and Federal Civilian sectors.
  • Conduct competition and potential market research and assessments consistent with company growth targets
  • Lead/support opportunity qualification and analysis; client and industry positioning--activities; teaming and capture strategy; and competitive analysis
  • Serve as capture manager or proposal manager with responsibility for opportunity pursuit strategy and implementation and/or proposal strategy and management including oversight of and contributions to proposal preparation, submittal, and post-award support to ensure a successful transition to operations for execution.
  • Author proposal sections to effectively communicate Sentar's value proposition.
  • Work with Cost/Pricing Manager to develop and propose winning cost strategies, including Price to Win analysis, and identifying cost efficiencies/innovations. Qualifications:-- Minimum 10 years' related experience with demonstrated success in business development and capture of contracts valued greater than $50M. Bachelor's degree in Business, English, Communications, technical discipline or other closely related discipline. Demonstrated successes reflecting the ability to "grow the business" Ability to demonstrate creative thinking. Effective verbal and written communication skill - Strong skill in business writing - both technical and non-technical Ability to perform customer visits to understand customer's needs and requirements. Demonstrable organizational skills to include the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Familiarity and experience managing and utilizing CRM tools such as Salesforce. Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government leaders and to provide leadership within the workplace Working knowledge of competitive cost strategies at contract and task order level. Experience developing account plans and capture plans for new business opportunities. Experience in the following discipline(s): Business development, capture management, opportunity identification and qualification, program management, Federal Government acquisition processes.
