Weapon System Assessor - Huntsville, AL Are you passionate about providing our warfighters with the tools they need to prevail over their adversaries? We are seeking a Weapon System Assessor to support the Missile Defense Agency's Department of Engineering. This role requires an understanding of how the Layered Missile Defense elements interact with each other to support successful engagements. This role also requires the understanding of models and simulations and their limitations in test. You will need to be comfortable briefing senior leaders inside and outside of the Missile Defense Agency. As a Weapon System Assessor ... Your primary responsibility will be to identify limitations and ensure all capabilities have been met prior to fielding a new element/software update to the Layered Missile Defense System You will work with a diverse team of engineers across all of the Missile Defense Agency You will engage with the team to ensure that the stated capabilities brought from the AEGIS Program Office are understood to develop a cohesive assessment plan You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you... Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field with 3+ years of engineering or related experience Have the ability to understand changes in software and hardware of new systems prior to fielding Have the ability to design test to obtain the evidence to support proper characterization of the system's capabilities and limitations prior to fielding. Can take complex concepts and convey them to senior leaders that have to understand a lot in a little bit of time Can build meaningful relationships across the all organizations inside and outside the agency Have an active Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret level security clearance. If selected, you will be subject to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the requirements for access to classified information.
