We want you to come as an intern and then join us upon completing your degree so that you can experience the gratifying work, our competitive benefits, exceptional professional development opportunities, and a culture of innovation that embraces diversity, inclusion, flexibility, collaboration, and career growth.Key Description:MITRE's Cyber Assessments Department is seeking student investigators who will assist and collaborate with senior staff in summer research projects on any one of variety of topics, including: cyber security, computer network defense, operating systems, virtualization, data analytics, and artificial intelligence/deep learning.Summer 2019 Work Period Availability Requirement:Students must be available to work full-time (40 hours per week) for 8 weeks from Monday, 3 June, through Friday, 26 July 2019.Required Qualifications:For this position the candidate will be working towards their high school diploma and require mature communication skills, basic knowledge in the sciences and math, as well as consistently maintain high academic achievement including a 3.0+ GPA or higher and a record of technical or scientific interests.* Applicants should be sure to state within their resume and/or within other application materials their preferred area of technical interest (e.g., one of the technical areas listed above in the Key Description of these positions).* To obtain a position, an applicant must be a U.S. citizen and must be available for full-time work (40 hours per week) for 8 weeks from Monday, 3 June, through Friday, 26 July 2019.* This position is an opportunity open only to applicants who will be rising high school sophomores or juniors in summer 2019 (i.e., students currently in the 9th or 10th grade). Consideration only will be given to applicants who meet these criteria.
