SIGN ON BONUS POTENTIAL!! General Summary COLSA Corporation is looking for multiple Software Engineers of various levels to support the EESS contract. These Software Engineers will work with state-of-the-art engineers and programs. COLSA is the prime contractor on the Engineering and Evaluation Support Services contract and provides engineering and evaluation support services to the Systems Simulation Software and Integration (S3I) Directorate, Aviation and Missile Research, Development, and Engineering Center (AMRDEC), U.S. Army Research, Development, and Engineering Command (USA RDECOM) and its customers for the following disciplines: Acquisition/Development Engineering, Software Verification and Validation(V&V), Interoperability Engineering and Testing, Software Quality Assurance (SQA), Configuration and Data Management (CADM), and associated support disciplines. The S3I customers include DoD components, other Government agencies, and Foreign Military Sales. S3I has system and software evaluation and independent engineering support responsibilities for several areas. Examples include Air and Ballistic Missile Defense, Fire Support, Close Combat, Aviation, Command, Control, Communications, and Interoperability, Intelligence/Surveillance, and Automatic Test Equipment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential functions) * Assists in designing and developing software programs * * Assists in analyzing user's software program needs and assists in troubleshooting * * Assists in the design and development of software using basic compilers, assemblers, utility programs and operating systems * May advise hardware design engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems * May provide input for documentation of new or existing programs Required Experience -- Required Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, programming, or other software engineering related field. * 0-8 years of software engineering experience. * Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. * Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, programs and spreadsheet, and database programs. * Working knowledge of current operating systems and programming languages.
