Business Analyst / Project Manager – Salesforce Implementation
Location: Nashville, TN Position Overview Seeking an experienced
Business Analyst/Project Manager with deep Salesforce expertise to
lead requirements development and manage external development teams
for our legal staffing platform. This role is 80% focused on
Salesforce implementation and optimization, with additional
responsibility for coordinating integrations with our .NET APIs,
React portals, and web properties. Youll bridge business operations
and technical implementation, translating recruiting workflows into
detailed technical specifications and ensuring seamless data flow
across our technology ecosystem. Primary Responsibilities
Salesforce Requirements Development & Documentation (Primary Focus)
• Conduct stakeholder interviews with recruiters, account managers,
and operations staff to identify Salesforce-related business needs
and pain points • Document current-state Salesforce configurations
and design future-state workflows • Write detailed user stories and
technical requirements for Salesforce developers, including
acceptance criteria, edge cases, and technical constraints • Create
process flow diagrams, Salesforce data models, and custom object
architecture documentation • Maintain requirements traceability
matrix linking business needs to Salesforce solutions • Define and
document Salesforce data migration requirements, including mapping
and transformation rules • Document Salesforce automation
requirements (Flows, Process Builder, Apex triggers, validation
rules) • Develop wireframes and UI/UX specifications for Lightning
components and custom page layouts • Create detailed specifications
for Salesforce reports, dashboards, and analytics requirements
Integration & Cross-Platform Requirements (Supporting Focus) •
Document integration requirements between Salesforce and external
systems (.NET APIs, React portals, WordPress sites) • Define API
contracts and data schemas for Salesforce ? external system
integrations • Map data flows and transformations across platforms
to ensure consistency • Specify webhook configurations,
event-driven workflows, and real-time sync requirements •
Coordinate requirements for .NET APIs that consume or provide data
to Salesforce • Define specifications for React portal features
that integrate with Salesforce data • Document authentication and
authorization patterns for cross-system access Project & Vendor
Management • Manage external Salesforce development contractors,
including work assignment, quality review, and deliverable
acceptance • Coordinate contractors working on integration projects
(.NET, React) to ensure alignment with Salesforce architecture •
Develop and maintain project plans with clear milestones,
dependencies, and resource allocation • Facilitate sprint planning,
backlog grooming, and retrospectives focused on Salesforce
deliverables • Track project progress, identify risks and blockers,
and escalate issues appropriately • Coordinate UAT (User Acceptance
Testing) with business stakeholders and document results • Manage
change requests and scope adjustments through formal approval
processes • Coordinate Salesforce deployments and release
management activities Technical Coordination • Partner with IT
leadership on Salesforce solution architecture decisions and
technical approach • Review Salesforce configurations,
customizations, and integrations for alignment with requirements
and best practices • Validate that delivered Salesforce solutions
meet business requirements, performance standards, and quality
criteria • Coordinate integration points between Salesforce and
external systems, ensuring data consistency • Work with developers
to define API contracts for Salesforce integrations • Understand
and document technical dependencies between Salesforce and other
applications Required Qualifications Salesforce Expertise
(Critical) • 3 years writing technical requirements for Salesforce
implementations in a BA or similar role • Deep understanding of
Salesforce architecture including standard and custom objects,
fields, relationships, record types, page layouts • Strong
knowledge of Salesforce automation: Flows, Process Builder,
Workflow Rules, validation rules, formula fields • Experience with
Salesforce data model design and understanding of when to use
standard vs. custom objects • Familiarity with Salesforce Lightning
Experience, Lightning Web Components, and Visualforce •
Understanding of Salesforce security model (profiles, permission
sets, sharing rules, field-level security) • Ability to read and
understand Salesforce configuration and basic Apex code •
Experience with Salesforce reports, dashboards, and analytics •
Knowledge of Salesforce best practices and governor limits
Preferred Qualifications • Salesforce Admin certification (ADM-201)
strongly preferred • Salesforce Advanced Administrator, Platform
App Builder, or Business Analyst certification • Experience with
Salesforce CPQ, Service Cloud, or Communities/Experience Cloud •
Understanding of Salesforce DevOps and deployment tools (Change
Sets, Salesforce DX, Copado, Gearset) • Familiarity with .NET
framework and REST API patterns • Understanding of React, modern
JavaScript frameworks, and front-end development • Experience with
integration middleware platforms (MuleSoft, Zapier, Workato, Azure
Logic Apps) • Background in data analysis and Salesforce reporting
• Understanding of HIPAA, SOC 2, or other compliance frameworks •
Experience with Salesforce data loader tools and data migration
projects
