Job Description Job Description We are looking for an
experienced Database Administrator to join our team on a long-term
contract basis. This hybrid role requires a detail-oriented
individual to manage, optimize, and oversee database systems while
ensuring their security and reliability. Based in Fitchburg,
Wisconsin, this position offers a flexible schedule with part-time
hours. Responsibilities: • Manage and maintain database systems,
including Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and MySQL. •
Perform performance tuning and optimization to ensure databases
operate efficiently. • Monitor database health and troubleshoot
issues to minimize downtime. • Implement and maintain database
security measures to protect sensitive information. • Collaborate
with stakeholders to address database needs and provide technical
support. • Conduct regular backups and ensure data recovery
processes are in place. • Analyze and improve database workflows to
streamline operations. • Document database configurations and
procedures for internal reference. • Upgrade and patch database
systems to stay current with industry standards. • Ensure
compliance with relevant regulations and best practices in database
management.• A minimum of 7 years of experience in database
administration. • Proficiency in Microsoft SQL Server, Azure SQL
Database, and MySQL. • Strong knowledge of performance tuning
techniques and database optimization. • Experience with database
security and backup/recovery procedures. • Familiarity with
Microsoft SQL tools and related technologies. • Ability to
troubleshoot and resolve database issues efficiently. • Excellent
communication skills to work with technical and non-technical
teams. • Knowledge of industry standards and best practices in
database management.
