Job Title: Network Administrator Intermediate Job Location:
Huntsville, ALJob Summary KaiHonua, LLC is looking for an
enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the Intermediate
Network Administrator position and to join our team of qualified,
diverse individuals. The primary responsibility of the Network
Administrator Intermediate is evaluation, acquisition, installation
and support of classified and unclassified Department of Defense
local area networks and wide area networks. The top candidate will
have extensive experience with various high performance computing
center network / communications systems and be familiar with
standard network / communications concepts, practices, and
procedures in a high-performance computing center.Skills /
Experience Required (Not listed in order of importance; other
duties may be assigned) and must be able to perform the following
with minimal guidance:
- Establishes network specifications by conferring with users;
analyzing workflow, access, information, and security requirements;
designing router administration, including interface configuration
and routing protocols
- Establishes network by evaluating network performance issues
including availability, utilization, throughput, and latency;
planning and executing the selection, installation, configuration,
and testing of equipment; defining network policies and procedures;
establishing connections and firewalls
- Maintains network performance by performing network monitoring
and analysis, and performance tuning; troubleshooting network
problems; escalating problems to vendor
- Secures network by developing network access, monitoring,
control, and evaluation, maintaining documentation
- Prepares users by designing and conducting training programs,
providing references and support
- Upgrades network by conferring with vendors; developing,
testing, evaluating, and installing enhancements
- Meets financial requirements by submitting information for
budgets, monitoring expenses
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational
opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining
personal networks; participating in professional organizations
- Protects organization's value by keeping information
confidential.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for
accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities
to add value to job accomplishmentsEducation / Certifications
- Associates' degree or higher in Computer Science, Cyber
Security, Information Technology, Software Engineering, Information
Systems, or Computer Engineering degree or degree in Mathematics or
Engineering preferred
- 6 years' experience preferred
- Must possess and maintain an IAT-II and a GSEC or Security+CE
or GICSP or CySA+ or CCNA Security IAW with DoD 8570.01-M
- Must meet the 8140.03 certification requirements within 12
months (preferably 6 months)Security Clearance Position may require
a DoD security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Physical
Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended
periods of time and typing and reading from a computer screen. Must
have enough mobility, including bending, reaching, and kneeling, to
complete daily duties in a prompt and efficient manner and may
