Grumman Space Systems is seeking a Principal Software Engineer.
This position will be located in Huntsville, AL and will support
the Sentinel (GBSD) program.What You'll Get To Do:Specific duties
to include, but are not limited to the following:Derive and
allocate requirements into detailed designDesigns, develops and
tests displays, controls and functionalityDesigns, develops and
tests simulation software for use in high fidelity simulation based
training systems; training systems may include a combination of
console and weapon system simulations, virtual reality, and
augmented realityDesign and develop artificial intelligence
algorithms to tutor, assess and evaluate learner knowledgeDevelops
and maintains databases to monitor and analyze learner and system
performanceCollaborates with Systems and Quality Engineers to
ensure software requirements are metPerforms software peer reviews,
version control, automated tests, software analysis, continuous
integration, and continuous delivery in accordance with DevSecOps
processes and best practicesPerforms code quality management and
corrects defectsCoordinates with HW/SW team to perform retests and
regression tests once defects are correctedCandidate should
have:Previous practical experience bridging requirements into
software design and implementation including active work in DOORs
and architecture models through detailed design documentation and
into codeStrong experience with build automation tools such as
Jenkins, GoCD, Travis CI or Circle CIStrong experience with
deployment automation tools such as chef, puppet or
ansibleExperience with working in a fast pace, agile environment
with the ability to work on cross-function Scrum team focused on
quality and capability deliveryExperience with Java/C/C++
development and/or front-end web development including JavaScript
Frameworks (Angular JS or React), HTML, and CSSFamiliarity with
DevSecOps, continuous integration, and continuous
deliveryFamiliarity with distributed version control software (Git,
Mercurial)Experience with Linux and Windows operating
systemsFamiliarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme
Programming), Scaled Agile Framework - SAFe for Lean
EnterprisesThis position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The
9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday
through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may

Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD. or 4
additional years in lieu of a degreeCurrent DoD Secret clearance
with ability to obtain PARFull lifecycle software development

with the ability to work on cross-function Scrum team focused on
quality and capability deliveryFamiliarity with DevSecOps,
continuous integration, and continuous deliveryExperience with
Java/C/C++ development and/or other software development of high
reliable software in appropriate languages (i.e. Ada, FORTRAN, C,

$138,400 USDEmployees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in
addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward
individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in
company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions
may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop
