Position Description
Serco has a Cybersecurity - Software Assurance Analyst opening in Huntsville, Alabama. Join our team working at the Missile Defense Agency and use those skills. The mission of the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) is to develop and deploy a layered Missile Defense System to defend the United States, its deployed forces, allies, and friends from missile attacks in all phases of flight. This position will be based in Huntsville, Alabama.
This position is contingent upon your ability to maintain/transfer your DoD Secret clearance.
Our team provides solutions for statutory and DoD requirements for Independent Verification and Validation (IV&V) for the MDA. They provide IV&V for MDA's weapon systems, business systems, RDT&E environments and Defense Industrial Base partners. We work closely with the Agency's Security Control Assessors, Software Assurance Manager, and the Authorizing Official. The team is 42 people with staff in Huntsville and Colorado Springs, CO. In this role, you will:

• 
  
• 
  Conducting technical aspects of cybersecurity software code review and vulnerability/risk analysis. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience with HP Fortify 360 and knowledge of Cybersecurity RMF Controls Validation Testing as well as an understanding of DoD testing tools and techniques, DISA STIGs and IAVM requirements. This is a technical cybersecurity position and solving complex technical cybersecurity issues will be required

  Perform software assessments on COTS/GOTS/Open Source software for cybersecurity vulnerabilities
  
  
• 
  Utilize static, dynamic and manual techiques to perform software analysis
  
  
• 
  Create software analysis and vulnerability reports
  
  
• 
  Evaluate networks, IT components, and weapon system for compliance with published DoD guidance and adherence to the Risk Management Framework
  
  
• 
  Perform vulnerability and STIG scans to include Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) Security Center, Security Technical Implementation Guidelines (STIG), and SCAP Compliance Checker (SCC)
  
  
• 
  Interface with Information System Security Manager and Officers (ISSM/ISSO) to review Systems Security Plans (SSPs), risk assessment reports, eMASS authorization packages, and Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms)

  Generate Software Assessment Reports in technical and non-technical ways for customers
  
  
  Qualifications
  To be successful in this role, you will have:

    An active DoD Security Clearance

    A High School Diploma
    
    
  • 
    CompTIA Security +, CISSP or equivalent DoDM 8570.01 certification

    Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite
    
    
  • 
    Excellent written and oral communication skills
    
    
    Additional desired experience and skills:
    
    • 
      
    • 
      An Associate's degree or higher
      
      
    • 
      Familiarity with NIST SP 800-53 RMF controls and eMASS preferred
      
      
    • 
      Familiarity with the Application Security and Development STIG preferred
      
      
      In compliance with state and local laws regarding pay transparency, the salary range for this role is $65,761.43to $109,602.38; however, Serco considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, education/training, and key skills.
