A BA must demonstrate the following: --- Excellent organizational, analytical, written and oral communication skills. --- The ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. --- The ability to interact at all levels in the chain of command. --- The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and also work in a team-based, highly collaborative environment. --- The ability to work well under pressure and around tight deadlines. A Business Analysts may be called upon to partner with other Business Analysts and/or with customer function managers when assembling requirements. The candidate should have a working knowledge of the Army's data and legacy systems, its associated systems, and an understanding of the Army's concept of Enterprise Data Management. Duties: --- Create, maintain and modify routine programs. --- Make approved changes by amending program flow charts, developing detailed processing logic, and coding changes. --- Provide technical analysis for applications and programs that will integrate national and field logistics and financial data. --- The candidate may recommend and document systemic processing additions or changes to improve the usage of the data across the spectrum of databases and processes. --- The candidate should be able to provide technical analysis in the development, programming, testing, and implementation phases utilizing SQL and a relational database on the back-end. --- The candidate should be able to perform technical assessment of the flowcharts, specifications and logic, input/output requirements from business users, reports, and database design logistical processes. --- Provides content management support through analyzing, editing, and posting of content for data, articles, pictures, and documents to web portal, web sites, SharePoint, and other locations in accordance with Government and Army security/Information Assurance regulations, policies, and directives. --- Supporting team in managing customer expectations and resolving issues on time. Performing business and technical presentations in relation to customer platforms and solutions addressing business problems. Assisting in rolling out standards and policies to the organization's team members. Documenting, assessing, and influencing business requirements to develop, enable, and advance SharePoint capabilities to support the organization's mission. Here's What You'll Need:Required Experience: Must understand U.S. Army Logistics practices, policies and procedures. Should have efficiency with SharePoint, databases, and user interface design. Preferred Experience: --- Experience with the design of large Oracle database systems, PL/SQL, Packages and Stored Procedures is desired. --- Experience with Microsoft SQL Server database management system, Microsoft SQL Server Enterprise Management Studio and T-SQL would be helpful Perform routine assignments following detailed specifications --- Be familiar with state of the art hardware and software Knowledge of programming to meet 508 regulations --- is a plus Capable of developing new applications using one or more of the accepted development languages or tools Should be capable of making modifications or maintaining existing applications utilizing one or more of the accepted development languages or tools --- Be able to accept and complete tasks in a timely manner from senior level team members Provide input for weekly and/or monthly reports Be able to work alone on small projects --- Be able to work on larger projects in a teaming environment Requires ability to clearly communicate both verbally and written to co-workers, management, and the customer as needed --- May perform testing on existing applications as well as applications in development --- Quickly develops and applies new skills --- Ability to code, test, debug and document applications under supervision of others --- Attend and participate in weekly Internal Project Reviews as needed --- Document programs accordingly --- May assist more senior level data analysts on more complex projects Experience with Sharepoint Technology: --- Maintaining skill sets in the hardware/software being used to accomplish customer tasks. --- Utilizing metrics to measure performance and progress. --- Maintaining an awareness of trends that may either positively or negatively affect the customer. --- Exhibiting a wide range of technical knowledge including database querying, application development, project management, scheduling, etc. Training: --- Attending Army Logistics Workshops/lPTs in support of various pre-migration activities. --- Completing Information Assurance and other DOD required training. --- Qualifications - External --- BS degree from an accredited college or university in a related scientific or engineering discipline and three (3) to five (5) years of progressive, relevant experience, or any equivalent combination of education, experience, training, and certifications. This position requires an active secret clearance. #ansdefense #moip #cjpost Essential Functions Physical Requirements Requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk (90%). Requires sitting at a computer terminal for long periods of time (90%). There is a possibility that due to parking availability and location of work area walking moderate to long distances can sometimes be required. Work Environment Inside office/cubicle environment. Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers and all levels of management (100%). Equipment and Machines Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, copier, and other general office equipment (100%). Ability to conduct evaluation of third and fourth generation or current state of the art computer hardware and software and its ability to support specific requirements, interfacing with other equipment and systems. Attendance Attendance is critical. Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday through Friday. Being prompt is important to provide continuous and on-going service to customers. Attendance is important to maintain continuity of service. Work outside of normal duty hours may be required with as little as one hour advance notice. Overtime is infrequent, but important when required (1%). Other Essential Functions Must be able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization. Must be able to obtain unescorted access to work areas.
