TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, a prominent healthcare institution in Smyrna, TN, is seeking a dedicated PACU Nurse to join our dynamic team. Our facility delivers comprehensive emergency care, cardiology, orthopedics, and advanced diagnostics, along with specialized services in maternity and surgical care. As a PACU Nurse, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the recovery of patients who have undergone surgical procedures, ensuring their safe and effective transition from anesthesia to consciousness. This position requires a blend of specialized skills in post-anesthesia care, patient communication, and detailed monitoring. Monitor post-operative patients' recovery from anesthesia, including vitals, consciousness, and pain management Assess patients' readiness for discharge from the PACU to the next phase of recovery Administer prescribed medications and monitor for any side effects or reactions Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records Educate patients and their families on post-procedure care and recovery expectations Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing teams to optimize patient outcomes Strong observational skills for monitoring patients Proficiency in administering medications and understanding drug interactions Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to make quick and accurate decisions in emergency situations Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN) license Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Certification preferred
