Job Description:
TriStar StoneCrest Medical Center, situated in Smyrna, TN, is
seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospital Laboratory Director to
oversee our state-of-the-art laboratory services. This vital role
will ensure that all laboratory operations provide precise,
reliable and timely patient test results to aid in the diagnosis,
treatment, and prevention of diseases. As the leader of our
laboratory team, you will collaborate with department heads and
healthcare professionals to integrate and enhance patient care
across the facility. Your strategic vision will guide the
laboratory's growth and maintain the highest standards of
regulatory compliance. Manage all laboratory operations to ensure
timely, accurate, and efficient processing of specimens. Develop
and implement laboratory testing procedures in accordance with the
latest scientific and technological advances. Ensure compliance
with all federal, state, and local regulations as well as
organizational policies concerning healthcare and laboratory
operation. Collaborate with other department leaders to integrate
laboratory services with overall patient care. Lead, supervise, and
train laboratory personnel, promoting a culture of high performance
and continuous improvement. Manage laboratory budgets and procure
necessary resources and technologies to optimize operations.
Regularly review and analyze system data, reports, and laboratory
results to track outcomes and develop improvement plans. Strong
leadership and managerial skills. Advanced knowledge of laboratory
informatics, automated systems, and regulatory compliance.
Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Expertise in developing accurate laboratory testing procedures.
Ability to multitask and function effectively in a fast-paced
environment. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance
Life Insurance 401k Certified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by
the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent.
Certification in clinical laboratory management or leadership is
preferred.
