Job Description:
TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, a prominent healthcare
facility located in Nashville, TN, is seeking a dedicated Hospital
Laboratory Director to oversee our comprehensive laboratory
services. As a Hospital Laboratory Director at our facility, you
will have the unique opportunity to lead a team in a dynamic
environment that provides emergency care, cardiology, orthopedics,
and rehabilitation services. You will be responsible for
maintaining the highest standards of laboratory testing,
implementing cutting-edge technologies, and ensuring the delivery
of high-quality, compassionate care as we continue to improve
patient outcomes. Oversee the operational management and
administration of the laboratory. Ensure compliance with regulatory
and accreditation standards. Develop and implement policies and
procedures that ensure quality of laboratory services. Manage
laboratory budgets and forecast resource requirements. Lead, train,
and mentor laboratory staff to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
and service delivery. Monitor and continuously improve laboratory
efficiency and productivity. Implement and oversee quality control
and quality assurance programs. Strong leadership and
organizational skills Expertise in clinical laboratory regulations
and standards (e.g., CAP, CLIA) Proficient in Laboratory
Information Systems (LIS) Excellent communication and interpersonal
skills Ability to lead and manage a diverse team Strategic planning
and budget management Solid problem-solving and analytical skills

401k Certified as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) by the
American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or equivalent
Additional certifications in laboratory management or quality
control are highly desirable
