registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1 years RN experience
required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not
be considered. Deliver exceptional care as a registered nurse
specializing in step-down unit care within a dynamic healthcare
setting. This position offers the opportunity to provide focused
treatment to patients recovering from critical conditions,
particularly those with heart disease, in a supportive and
well-equipped environment. Location: Based in Alabaster, AL, this
assignment allows you to work in a community-oriented area with
access to local amenities and a balance of urban and suburban
living. Schedule/Hours: 12-hour night shifts (18:4507:15) Available
for 36 or 48 hours per week Every other weekend required Float
support as needed for related units Qualifications & Desired
Experience: Valid RN license with step-down unit experience Current
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification Proficiency with Epic charting
system Ability to manage nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:4 in a 14-bed
unit Experience caring for patients with heart disease and similar
diagnoses Willingness to adhere to required vaccination protocols
(flu and COVID) with accepted medical or religious exemptions
Responsibilities & Duties: Provide skilled nursing care to
step-down unit patients with heart-related conditions Utilize
clinical knowledge to monitor and assess patient status,
implementing timely interventions Collaborate with
multidisciplinary teams to support patient recovery and safety
Document patient care accurately using Epic electronic health
records Flexibly support float pool and similar units based on
