Registered Nurse (RN) | Medical-Surgical Location: Smyrna, TN Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $1,840 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Smyrna, Tennessee, 37167! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Medical-Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: Active RN license Certifications: BLS (ACLS optional) Must-Have: - 1 year of Medical-Surgical experience - Ability to jump in and learn quickly Description: This position is for a Registered Nurse in a busy medical-surgical unit. The unit has 54 beds, including a dedicated ortho/spine area. Patient ratios are 1:5-6 for RNs and 1:12-15 for patient care technicians. The RN/LPN team will manage a total of 10 patients. The unit is staffed with RNs, LPNs, and patient care technicians based on staffing and census. Unit secretaries are available until 8 PM during weekdays. The unit is well-equipped with Alaris pumps, remote telemetry, continuous pulse oximetry, specialty beds, and transfer equipment. Documentation is done using a Meditech system. Scheduling requires at least one weekend shift within a 4-week period. Floating within the unit is at the discretion of management. Candidates should possess strong assessment, prioritization, and critical thinking skills. General Medical/Surgical procedures are performed, including post-catheterizations, laparoscopic procedures, and stable trauma care.
