Overview: This role involves providing direct patient care in all
facets of respiratory therapy, following the directives of
physicians. You will collaborate with doctors to assess the
effectiveness of treatments and serve as a knowledgeable resource
for both medical staff and nursing teams regarding respiratory
care. Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed. This
is a daytime position, Monday through Friday, located in our
Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) Lab. Position Details:
Qualifications: Education: Completion of a Respiratory Care program
accredited by CoArc. Licensure: Must fulfill state licensing
criteria and possess a valid Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP)
license. Experience: No prior experience is required.
Certifications: Must hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist
(RRT) credential from the National Board for Respiratory Care
(NBRC). For colleagues in the Emergency Room, PALS certification is
mandatory. Physical Requirements: Ability to push, pull, and grip
weights up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 10 lbs, and perform minimal
kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Equipment utilized includes all
necessary respiratory care devices. Preferred Education: Acute
Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification. Preferred Experience:
Background in Pulmonary Function Testing (PFT) is advantageous.
Preferred Certification: CPFT or RPFT credentials are desirable.
Preferred Experience: Critical care experience is preferred. Why
