Overview: The Registered Respiratory Therapist delivers direct
respiratory care to patients in accordance with physician
directives and evaluates the effectiveness of therapies. This role
serves as a vital resource for both physicians and nursing staff
concerning respiratory treatments and involves the operation of
various respiratory care equipment. Candidates must possess a
CoARC-accredited education, state licensure, the RRT credential,
and ideally have experience in critical care along with
certifications such as ACLS and PALS for emergency room

This role entails providing comprehensive respiratory care to
patients as per physician instructions. The therapist will also
consult with physicians regarding the efficacy of treatments and
serve as an advanced resource for both medical staff and nurses in
the field of respiratory care. Additional responsibilities will be
assigned as needed. Position Details: Qualifications: Education:
Completion of a CoARC-accredited Respiratory Care program.
Licensure: Must meet state licensure criteria and hold a current
Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license. Experience: No prior
experience required. Certifications: Must possess the Registered
Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from the National Board for
Respiratory Care (NBRC). For those working in the Emergency Room,
PALS certification is mandatory. Physical Demands: Ability to push,
pull, and grip up to 50 lbs, pinch up to 10 lbs, and perform
minimal kneeling, crouching, and crawling. Equipment Used:
Proficient in all relevant respiratory care devices. Preferred
Education: Acute Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
Preferred Experience: Critical care experience is advantageous. Why
