and innovation. Position Overview: UF Health Leesburg Hospital is
seeking a Medical Technologist (MT), Medical Laboratory Scientist
(MLS), Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT), or Clinical Laboratory
Scientist to join our high-performing lab team. This full-time role
is vital to supporting accurate and timely diagnostics for our

surrounding Central Florida communities with excellence in
laboratory and patient care. Key Responsibilities: Perform a full
spectrum of diagnostic testing in one or more areas of the clinical
laboratory (e.g., chemistry, hematology, microbiology, immunology).
Ensure all procedures are conducted in compliance with regulatory
standards (CAP, CLIA, etc.) and UF Health protocols. Operate,
calibrate, and troubleshoot a wide range of laboratory instruments.
Maintain meticulous documentation and quality control measures.
Work collaboratively with nursing, medical, and other
interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient care. Contribute
to a positive, professional lab environment that prioritizes
safety, accuracy, and continuous improvement. Required
Qualifications: Associate’s degree in Medical Technology, Clinical
Laboratory Science, or related science. Current Florida Clinical
Laboratory Technologist license. Preferred Qualifications:
Certification as a Medical Technologist (ASCP or equivalent).
Experience in a clinical or hospital-based laboratory setting.
