Gadsden, Alabama (35903) – Alabama nursing jobs - Unit:
Medical-Surgical (Med/Surg) - Shift: 12-hour day shifts (6:45 AM –
7:15 PM), every other weekend required - Hours per Week: 36 -
Assignment Duration: 13 weeks - Start Date: November 24, 2025 - End
Date: February 23, 2026 - Patient Ratio: 6:1 - Estimated Weekly
Salary: $1,510 - $1,620 per week Registered Nurse Qualifications -
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Compact or Alabama RN
license required - BLS certification (Basic Life Support) - Minimum
1 year of recent Med/Surg nursing experience - Cerner EMR
experience preferred - Ability to work either December 24th or 25th
AND either December 31st or January 1st - Must reside at least 50
miles from the healthcare facility Med/Surg RN Responsibilities -
Provide high-quality, compassionate care to medical-surgical
patients - Monitor, assess, and document patient status and
progress in the Med/Surg unit - Administer medications and
treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers - Collaborate with
interdisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement patient
care plans - Educate patients and families on health management,
discharge instructions, and ongoing care - Maintain accurate and
timely documentation using Cerner EMR - Float to other hospital
