Job Description & Requirements Registered Nurse - Cardiovascular - Travel - (Cardio - CVICU RN) StartDate: 4/15/2024 Available Shifts: 12 N Pay Rate: $1782.00 - $1963.00 JOB DESCRIPTION SimpliFi Interview General Information: Number of Beds: 12 Will you accept a traveler with 1-year experience? No Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes with at least 2-years' experience and Cerner or EPIC (EMR) experience Patient Types: Post op CABG, Valve, thoracotomies, V-A and V-V ECMO, post cardiac arrest, post heart cath, post op vascular surgery, critical care Patient Ratios: 1:2 Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS Skills required: Swan ganz catheters, arterial lines, hemodynamic monitoring, chest tubes, CRRT, medication titration, IABP, Impella, EKOS, vent management, Tandem Life/Tandem Lung Support on the Unit: CNA (Ratio): 1:12 Receptionist/HUC? No Charge nurse? 1 per shift Phlebotomy? Yes IV/VAT Team? Yes Hospitalist? Yes Telemetry monitoring tech? Are RNs required to read/measure tele strips? ICU monitoring Technology/Equipment: EMR: Cerner IV pumps: Plum 360 Medication dispensing: Omnicell Monitors: Spacelabs Floating: If yes, where? Any like unit/patient location (MS-MS, MS-ICU task, MS-ER/MS holds; ICU-ICU, ICU-MS task or limit of 3, ICU-ER/ICU holds) Orientation: Travelers who are new to the facility or return travelers who have been gone for 1+ years will have 24 hours of classroom time and 24 hours on the unit Rehires: orientation will depend on last date here Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Every other or 4 weekend days per month if on a block schedule On call? No Holiday Expectations: One major and one minor seasonal holiday per policy Holiday Expectations: This does not mean they will automatically be scheduled for those dates, but we will not contractually guarantee to being off prior to arrival.
