Job Description:

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides direct and indirect patient care.-- He/She applies the nursing process to plan and implement the care of patients, including patient and family education and continuum of care planning.-- The Registered Nurse must possess good communication skills and must be able to effectively communicate with physicians, peers, patients and families.-- He/She works collaboratively with all members of the healthcare team to ensure quality care is delivered.----Reports to: ED Director/CNO--FLSA:-- Non-exempt----Must possess an active TN RN license or a compact state license with the intent to obtain a TN RN license within 30 days of hire.--Required SkillsMust have current BLS/CPR certification within 12 months of hireMust obtain ACLS within 12 months of hirePALS within 12 months of hireHWC within 12 months of hireEqual opportunity and affirmative action employers and are looking for diversity in candidates for employment: Minority/Female/Disabled/Protected Veteran
