Job Title: GastroenterologistLocation: Gadsden, ALSalary: This position offers a comprehensive financial package including a competitive salary based on MGMA guidelines and incentive bonus based on WRUVs. Additionally, it may include medical education debt assistance, residency/fellowship stipend, relocation expenses, CME, vacation and health, dental, and vision benefits, licensure, dues, subscriptions, quality and tenure bonuses, and mid-level supervision compensation.Job Summary: This is a hospital employed practice setting for a Gastroenterology (GE) specialist to provide care for patients. We are looking for a Gastroenterologist with the ability to do EGD endoscopic procedures, preferably with ERCP and EUS. The current call is 1:4 and office space is available on the hospital campus or nearby.Roles and Responsibilities:- Diagnose and treat diseases of the digestive system- Perform endoscopic procedures, like colonoscopies and sigmoidoscopies- Consult with patients and their families regarding treatment options and diagnosis- Examine patients to determine course of treatment- Monitor effectiveness of treatments- Prescribe medications and therapies- Educate patients and their families on preventive careQualifications:- Medical degree from an accredited institution- Board certification in Gastroenterology- Valid medical license- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Superior organizational and clinical skills- Ability to work independently and in a team environmentExperience and Skills:- Clinical experience in Gastroenterology- Demonstrated proficiency in endoscopic procedures- Knowledge of diagnostic and therapeutic techniques- Understanding of medical laws and regulations- Proficiency in computerized charting systems- Familiarity with common Health Insurance PlansWhy Join Us: This position is within a short distance from Birmingham, AL and only two hours from Atlanta, GA.
