Business Development Manager, Huntsville, AL VTS Group, LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran and SBA 8(a) Certified Small Disadvantage Business owned technology solutions provider. We provide enterprise-class services with our 8(a) partners and are striving to fill a Business Development Manager position with an 8(a) partner. SPECIFIC TO THE ONSITE WORK Mission: Develop a deepened presence within the Huntsville Federal Government community and create a business pipeline as a veteran owned small business.-- Customer: Army Futures Command APNT/CFT, the Space Development Agency (SDA) and more.-- Location: Redstone Arsenal/Huntsville, AL RESPONSIBILITIES: Primarily responsible for identifying new business development opportunities in the Intelligence, Space and DOD markets. Leverage proven senior-level leadership and extensive community relationships within an industry based in the Intelligence, Space and DOD communities. Research customers' competitors, solutions, specific opportunities, teaming partners and potential key personnel to capture Government Contracts. Establish leads/contacts with potential customers, develop and provide company awareness/capabilities briefings, attend marketing/business development conferences/seminars, provide information for bid/no bid decision making, and help develop/foster teaming arrangements with other companies. Prioritize, lead and execute capture strategies. Assist in the development of marketing and promotional materials, overall proposal strategy, and proposal development. Manage key stakeholder relationships and keep the business leadership team informed and engaged in advancing strategic partnerships with clients and industry partners. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to communicate multi-step and interdependent activities effectively to capture teams and ensure efficient execution of captured efforts. Experience with successful execution of all phases of a large and multi-year capture effort, including strategic planning, teaming, proposals, market, or competitive and price-to-win analyses. Existing relationships with the Intelligence community and DoD clients and decision-makers. Must have a proven win record and hands on proposal development experience. EDUCATION: BA or BS degree required 10+ years of experience with management of complex technical solutions, capture and proposal development efforts for the Intelligence and DoD communities. CLEARANCE : Active Security Clearance PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Indoors in normal office environment. May require extensive periods of sitting or standing. Frequent computer use at workstation for several hours at a time.
