The work locations for this contract are split between Washington DC and Huntsville, Al. The Program Manager will manage the overall contract from the Washington DC office while the Deputy Program Manager will manage the Huntsville Team with direction from the Program Manager. The DPM will be Jacobs' senior on-sight management lead and work closely with Government Program Managers on contract and operational matters. -The Deputy Program Manager directly contributes to program efforts in several areas including contract performance management, risk management, requirements analysis, cost control, staff management and quality assurance activities. DPM will contribute to Program Management Reviews (PMRs) and financial forecasts. Ensures proper performance of tasks necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the contract. The DPM shall utilize expert communication skills needed to direct the skilled technical resources and report on the technical progress, issues, and problem areas.Aside from their management responsibilities, the DPM will be tasked to provide operational support to the customer's national security program. The DPM is expected to become knowledgeable on all aspects of the customer's mission and directly contribute to the execution of deliverables. -Responsible for organizing, directing, and managing all aspects of contract operational support functions involving multiple complex and inter-related project tasks that often require managing teams of contractor personnel in Huntsville. Supports and contributes to the direction of program activities. Maintains contractor interface with the senior levels of the customer's organization. Consult with customer and contractor personnel to formulate and review task plans and deliverables, ensuring conformance with program and project task schedules and contractual obligations. Establish and maintain technical and functional reports to show progress of projects to management and customers, organize and assign responsibilities to subordinates, oversee the successful completion of all assigned tasks, and assume the initiative and provide supportHere's What You'll Need:Possess five years or more of relevant leadership/program management or operational experience with US government projects involving analytical support. Demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, deliverable tracking, schedules and reporting. Direct experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity.Educational Requirement: Bachelor's Degree - Certification Requirements: Possess a current Project Management Institute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI Program Management Professional (PgMP) certification or able to become certified within 90 days of start date. Clearance Requirements: TS with SCI Eligibility -Essential Functions -Physical Requirements: Most work will be done at a desk or computer.Work Environment: General Office environment. The work environment is fast-paced and sometimes involves extreme deadline pressures. The nature of the work requires a high degree of teamwork and cooperation with other members of the staff as well as individuals across the Company and Customers.Equipment & Machines: General office equipment including PC/laptop, Fax, Copiers, Shredder, Printers, Telephone, and other miscellaneous office equipment.Attendance: Attendance is critical at all times. Must be able to work a 40-hour workweek, normally Monday through Friday. -However, times and days may vary depending on business requirements. Needs to be available to work overtime during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests for overtime should the situation occur.Other Essential Functions: Must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must put forward a professional behavior that enhances productivity and promotes teamwork and cooperation. Must be able to interface with individuals at all levels of the organization both verbally and in writing. Must be well-organized with the ability to coordinate and prioritize multiple tasks simultaneously. Must work well under pressure to meet deadline requirements. Must be willing to travel as needed.
