power generation manufacturing company is looking for an
experienced Supply Chain Senior Manager who can overhaul our supply
chain protocols, procedures and strategy. The successful candidate
will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to put
together a talented, efficient team. He or she will report directly
to our Vice President, Operations, and will be responsible for the
strategic plans to improve customer reliability and the
productivity, quality and efficiency of our operations to meet
business plan objectives. We are focused on improving our speed,
efficiency and resource use to increase our company's overall
profitability while providing a reliable delivery and service to
meet our customer's needs. Job Description --- Grow the external
supply chain capabilities within the division with the emphasis on
employee and customer safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and
production / process cost reductions
--- Lead in the implementation internal and external supply chain
strategies by defining supplier performance goals which will drive
continuous improvements and better supplier performance.
--- Enhance supplier development by communicating performance
standards, developing joint improvement initiatives, and actively
soliciting formal feedback.
--- Translate customer requirements into supply chain strategies
linked to manufacturing plan.
--- Guide the division in the development of supply chain metrics
focused on driving cost out of the product and processes.
--- Partner with location managers in the execution of the overall
supply chain strategy, providing the link to the execution of the
procurement of goods providing the division an ability to grow our
--- Guide in the development of all Environmental Health and Safety
policies with our suppliers by assuring compliance of all
requirements and benchmarks.
--- Coaching and elevating performance of direct reports by
instilling the Nidec company values through goal setting and
providing timely feedback.
--- Key support in part with the VP Operations to develop supplier
strategies conducive to the overall company objectives for Growth
and Profitability in a Multi-plant international operations
--- Monitor and report cost trends for key commodities impacting
our material spend
--- Evaluate and develop organizational resource allocation to
focus resources toward maximum impact for the company driving best
cost tactical actions.
--- Develop a link with Engineering focused on Value Add/Value
Engineering driving out complexity in our supply chain.
--- Bring a sense of Passion, Enthusiasm, and Tenacity in the
workplace ensuring employee capabilities and drive are positioned
for both company and employee success.

--Additional Job Details--- 10 + years of experience in
manufacturing in a leadership role
--- 5 + years in supply chain management
--- Global Supply Chain Management experience
--- APICS Certification a preferred
--- Electrical / mechanical aptitude highly desirable
--- Successful experience in upgrading systems and procedures to
eliminate waste and non-value-added activities
--- A unique combination of hands on leadership with defined
strengths in strategy, planning, systems and execution and someone
who will take complete responsibility for the entire production
process; from order entry to invoicing required
