Job Summary: The incumbent will be a member of the regional leadership team and be accountable for contributing to the achievement of CMS's business plan. This role will lead the ongoing operational and financial performance assessment for GATR's operations, including monthly and annual financial planning and analysis and provide financial support as needed on product or project specific issues. In addition to financial responsibility, role also works closely with the commercial/contracts team and all associated initiatives and responsibility in those areas including product pricing. Fulfills a leadership role in proposals and negotiation for all major contracts and product orders. Facilitates innovative solutions to complex contractual challenges in a highly dynamic environment. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretionary and substantial decision-making authority Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities: Leads GATR's finance team. Crafts and implements innovative solutions to complex commercial issues. Leads planning/strategies for contract negotiations; and fulfills a leadership role in proposals and negotiation for all major contracts. Key partner to the General Manager in analyzing the financial position of projects, identifying problem areas, establishing current position and forecasting trends. Works with regional leadership team and develops short, medium, and longer term financial and commercial strategy. Develops and maintains a sound understanding of the strategic needs of the business and proactively contributes to the development of those needs through finance and commercial teams. Responsible for the annual budget and periodic forecast updates. Establishes systems and metrics to monitor performance of the business against budget in accordance with corporate guidelines. Identifies key financial trends which positively and negatively impact the organization along with communicating these impacts on a timely basis. Develops and implements strategies for the effective management of internal resources which deliver long term sustainable value and excellent performance. Provides financial reporting and cost estimating support to the business as the organisation delivers on a number of large contracts. Understands and supports the streamlining of all key financial processes in accordance with corporate guidelines. Maintains regular communication and support to the corporate finance, accounting and treasury teams. Identifies and implements cost improvement initiatives. Works closely corporate legal to ensure contractual and commercial compliance. Provides leadership for major proposals and related strategies to develop effective teaming and contracting arrangements. Reviews and approves significant contracts, subcontracts, and teaming agreements. Provides support in due diligence efforts and leads the integration for new acquisitions. Minimum Job Requirements: Four year college degree in Accounting or Finance with at least twelve years progressive finance and project experience required, preferably in a large organization including ten years' experience in operational financial management. Must have experience leading teams for minimum of five years. CPA or MBA highly desirable. Experience in a system integration is highly desirable. Working knowledge in the development of SOX policies and procedures and experience with major ERP and CRM implementation. Ability to identify, summarize and extract key issues from complex contractual arrangements. Ability to build strong partnerships with colleagues, customers, and suppliers. Displays an entrepreneurial approach to the business constantly securing opportunities for improvement. Ability to communicate a vision & business strategy to the team and formulate plans to achieve the vision. Ability to identify areas of under-performance and assist in developing plans to rectify. Must be self-motivated, pragmatic, and able to work independently. Diligent, with attention to detail. Able to problem solve and find effective and timely resolutions. Ability to motivate and lead others to achieve individual and shared goals. Demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills with a willingness to share knowledge, coach and collaborate effectively with individuals and other departments. Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize. Travel within North America is expected for this position (estimated 12-16 weeks per year)
