PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, development, integration, and testing of advanced domestic and foreign threat systems, radar simulators, and RF and microwave subsystems Defining Baseline System Requirements for Radar systems ranging from older systems consisting of primarily analog components to modern digital Software Defined Radars with Active Antenna Arrays. Requirements derivation and allocation of requirements to individual subsystems is required along with defining verification methods and test plans that will be used during integration and testing. Responsible for designing the overall radar system architecture based on these requirements and leading the design of each subsystem to ensure requirements are met. Conducting trade studies and developing recommended solutions, vendors, components and devices, and documenting and providing the results of these trade studies to company management and customers. Working with the approved design concepts through detailed design and into production, leading and presenting design reviews (for both internal and customer audiences) and system level integration and testing. This individual is responsible for evaluating subsystem test results and working with subsystem leads to ensure requirements are met. Once subsystem testing is complete, this individual has the overall responsibility for system integration and testing and troubleshoots difficult and complex problems drawing on team resources as required to resolve all integration issues.
