This position is subject to Wage Determination as outlined in the McNamara O'Hara Service Contract Act. The Cyber Division Co-Op will perform routine tasks associated with the operations of the Cyber Division, including: + Assisting the review of already-developed source code + Determining Common Weaknesses and Enumerations (CWEs) for weaknesses discovered in software + Assisting in basic support for testing, investigations, and maintenance of system accreditation + Assists in system monitoring for the detection of cyber incidents and provides recommendations on how to correct findings + Preparing exploitation examples for identified weaknesses + Examining the prodigy of open-source applications + Performing static and dynamic, source and binary software assurance techniques under the supervision of SMEs + Cyber development and additional creativity in exploit generation being allowed + Other cyber-related duties as assigned The Co-Op student, at a minimum, will be exposed to: + Exploitations in C++, C#, Java, Ada, and a variety of other languages + Secure development techniques + Technical writing for documenting issues identified + Requirements development + CWEs, CVEs, static analysis, dynamic analysis, binary analysis, source analysis, origin analysis Required Experience -- Required Qualifications + High school diploma or equivalent + Currently enrolled full time at Auburn University pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or other directly applicable field. + Enrolled in an accredited cooperative education program + One semester or two quarter completed toward a degree + Good written and verbal communication skills + Passion for technology + Enthusiasm and willingness to learn + Must be 18 years of age or older + Candidates must possess U.S. Citizenship and be eligible for a DoD security clearance. Applicant selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
