As part of Boeing's Engineering, Test & Technology organization, Boeing Research & Technology is clearly focused on technical excellence, enhancing Boeing's growth and productivity, and helping the company operate more effectively so it can provide its customers with solutions that best meet their needs.*Job Responsibilities:* * Assist with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, and interfaces. * Support In tegration of components into fully functional systems. * Assist with the generation of test procedures and documentation of test results to ensure component requirements are met. * Follow established processes and procedures. * Support project level reviews. * Prepare technical reports for internal and external customers and work with vendors to determine required performance details for electrical components. Additional tasks will include supporting the identification of areas for potential industry influence, making recommendations for technology investments, participating in technology road mapping exercises and helping shape future customer and industry requirements. This position will work under general supervision more effectively so it can provide its customers with solutions that best meet their needs.The BR&T Avionics Systems Technology team is chartered with providing innovative avionics system technologies and engineering expertise to our partners within Boeing, making those programs more competitive. As a member of the BR&T AST Mission and Vehicle Systems team, you will be responsible for supporting the study and assessment of technology developments for both internal corporate wide Program needs, as well as, external customers. Work Authorization Requirements: This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience) * Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. * Electrical Engineering experience Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience) * Experience with electrical circuit design using components, such as microcontrollers, field programmable gate arrays (FPGA), analog-to-digital converters (ADC) and digital-to-analog converters (DAC) * Experience with hardware design languages, such as VHDL or Verilog * Experience with model-based hardware design and simulation using tools such as Matlab and Simulink * Experience with Digital signal processing (DSP) as applied to digital filter implementation and data compression development * Experience with Printed circuit board (PCB) design practices * Experience with Schematic capture software, such as Mentor Graphics Xpedition xDx Designer * Experience with Lab-based electrical hardware testing using test equipment, such as digitizing oscilloscopes, pattern generators and spectrum analyzers * Experience with FPGA Tool Suites, such as Xilinx Vivado/ISE or Altera Quartus II *Additional Preferred Experience:* * Firmware development using software languages, such as Embedded C * Software development for real-time operating systems (RTOS) * Markup languages, such as XML * ARM and PowerPC architecture **Job** *EE Sys Design Engineer* **Organization:** *Boeing Research & Technology* **Title:** *Electrical Engineer 3 - Boeing Research and Technology* **Location:** *Alabama-Huntsville* **Requisition ID:** *1800076836*
